Col de Romeyere
1074 metres

The first picture looks towards the village of Romeyere and the pass above it, seen from the minor road on the other side of the Gorges de Bourne. It's a steep descent to cross the river.
The second is on the start of the climb, looking back towards the same gorges. The rest of the climb from the south is very tame, and the summit uninteresting (there is a bar).

We haven't yet seen the north side, but it is a Vercors gateway and like all the others, has its moments, including a long, narrow, winding, rough-hewn, unlit tunnel. Very special if, like us, you love tunnels - a bit scary if not. Take good lights!
