In the southern French Alps.
A minor pass and ski station which separates the northern ends of the Daluis and Cians gorges.
There are two routes on the western side, both have their moments of drama but the more northerly one, shown in these photos, is the quieter road. See also Peone, on this road, a very dramatic setting. The east side of the pass is rather dreary, but it serves as an approach to the much finer Col de Couillole.
