A border pass, between Switzerland and Italy.
It has a bad reputation with cyclists as an uninteresting and traffic-ridden route, but we found it quiet and pleasant enough in early September. Fairly long climb from either side, and the long tunnel near Domodossola is forbidden to cyclists - but easily avoided. So they tell us. Ahem!
