No excuses for showing more views of this road, which is rather special.
This one is taken just below the summit on the south side, which is also the section of road shown on the title page.
The title picture was shot from the new road, seen in the background of this photo. Both old and new roads are very quiet as there is also a very long main road tunnel under this entire mountain - so its a good place for cycling, though, as you can see, rather bleak.
