This is a three-sided col in the southern Italian Alps.
It is a very big climb from the north or the north-east, but from the south it is reached down-hill from the nearby Fauniera
The views towards the summit are superb. If travelling from south to east, do not neglect to go along the northbound road for 200m or so - for some wide-open views which are missed from the col.
Meanwhile looking east, there are views clear out of the mountains over the Lombardy Plain.
