This is one of four dramatic 'balcony' or 'corniche' roads near Bourg d'Oisans.
This one leads towards the village of Huez, just below the town of Alpe d'Huez itself, and gives good views over the Alpe d'Huez climb - see below, the road is lined with parked cars because this was a Tour de France day!.
