This pass stands on the border between France and Italy
The clouds, beautiful in this picture, are part of a very common weather system on this pass, for a much closer look, see page 2.
The large summit area is very beautiful, with a big reservoir and a network of tracks surrounding the lake.
The north side is quite a short climb but very pretty, the south side is much longer and more dramatic.
