This col has 4 roads at the summit, there are 3 ways down and one way continues upwards to Mont Authion, 2042m.
Not particularly scenic towards the top, which is wooded and has no less than 3 hotels.
But all the approaches are notable for their spectacular engineered hairpin bends, and to the south-east these are embedded in the superb Gorges du Piaon.
