D2 - roads near Nice

This photo is actually taken on the D8, which connects the D2 (Col de Vence) with the D1 (Corniche du Var), forming a fast east-west route through the country just north of the Route Napoleon.
The village in the picture is Bouyon, which is where the D8/D2 climbs away from the D1. The D8 peaks at 1004m, and the D2 at 1120m, but even so, for a cyclist, this route is much faster than the Route Napoleon which is very hilly.
To compare these heights with other nearby routes, the D27 goes to 1150m, the D1 route peaks twice at 613m and 876m, the Col de Vence is 963m.
