This pass is part of the excellent high-level route along the Swiss-Italian border.
It's a big climb from the east, but from the west it is very easy.
On three sides there are snow-covered peaks, but this pass is perhaps most remarkable for its 'duty-free' shops and 'border post' at the top - although both sides are in Italy.
