This is an easy and very pleasant pass leading eastwards from Cortina, towards the magnificent Misurina/Tre Cime area.
From the west there is a smooth and steady climb through light woodland, leading to unusual heath-like upper slopes. From the east there is hardly any climb at all from the area around Lake Misurina, or a long climb if approached from Auronzo.
