The highest road into the Dolomites from the south, and a very big climb from the south side.

The picture below shows the southern approach near the top.

We haven't visited this pass yet, but Paulo who lives nearby writes to say:

"From the north it starts at 800 mt. and it is 17 km long.
Passo Manghen is 2047 high and it is closed in the period November - May.
It is out of the big tourist tour, so in august too you can find a wild road and a wild landscape, With only few tourists.
The climb is not too difficult, (max 12%) but is beautiful."
